How to embed a Youtube video into your Ebay auctions

How to embed youtube videos into ebay auctionsThere is no better way to show off your Ebay listings than by showing the items in detail with a short video. I personally like to use videos for everything I sell on Ebay so the buyer can really get a good look at everything not just what the pictures are showing. It also enables me to talk about the item in greater detail. The easy way to do this would be to just take the embed code from your video on Youtube, but it not that easy. Ebay will not accept that code. Youtube use to have an option where you could “use the old embed code” and this is the code that you need to insert your video into the Ebay item description. Youtube does not give you an option to use that code anymore. The good news is that I have the old embed code that you need and this code works perfectly! You will need to switch to the HTML editor on Ebay by clicking the link at the top right of the item description box in order to insert the code.

Use this code in your item description on Ebay

<p align=”center”>
<object height=”385″ width=”640″><param
 name=”allowFullScreen” value=”true”><param
 name=”allowscriptaccess” value=”always”>
<embed src=”;hl=en_US”
 type=”application/x-shockwave-flash” allowscriptaccess=”always”
 allowfullscreen=”true” height=”385″ width=”640″></object></span></strong></p>

Now all you need to do is replace XXXXXXXXXXX with the 11 characters that appear at the end of your Youtube video link. You can find your video url by clicking the share button under the video like the in the example below. All you need to do is copy those lase 11 characters in the url and place them in the above code. Then insert that code into your Ebay auction and you are good to go!
